The renowned trailblazing photographers share their adventures and review their photographs and book, African Twilight Vanishing Rituals & Ceremonies. The presentation celebrates Africa’s cultural heritage and creates a “passionate portrayal of the splendor of human creativity.” Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher record the disappearing diversity of the sacred rituals of birth, death, courtship, leadership and healing before it is too late.

A book signing in the lobby follows the talk. Books may be purchased at SJIMA and held for you for the event.

FYI. Angela Fisher will be unable to join us at Sunday’s event. Though fully vaccinated, the State Department did not allow her entry into the US as she is an Australian citizen. Carol Beckwith is in the US now and will be presenting the Conversation program.

Masking may be required.
