DIALOGUES FROM THE FOREST – PART 1
March 4 – May 15, 2017
Aaron Haba creates large scale installations in various media. This site specific installation invites the viewer to look toward the heavens to see the beauty inside our own human vessels. Here at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art Haba has re-imagined his work “Vessel” to respond to the Atrium Gallery. This vessel of wood begins the discussion about the various manner in which artists use the natural materials of the NW to convey their story. Exhibited in SJIMA’s Atrium with natural light and soaring space, the interior of this piece will be visible by a reflective panel suspended overhead.
